GIS (Geographical Information System)

Barry County E9-1-1 GIS department manages all address, road, and PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) boundary data in the county outside the city limits with the exception of Seligman, MO.  All other cities are responsible for assigning addresses and road names in their city limits and notifying our department of new address assignments and roads.

We submit this data, including city data, to Google Maps, Apple Maps, Here Data (Garmin and many car manufacturer navigation systems) and MapQuest (TomTom).  If any of these common navigation systems are believed to be misrouting, please contact our GIS department at gis@barrycountye911.gov or call our Admin Office Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM.

We regularly receive updates from other partner GIS departments (Corps of Engineers, surrounding counties, etc.)  to keep our emergency telecommunicators maps up-to-date.
